"The
AutoBusiness databases are invaluable in helping
our clients understand their competitive position"
Director, leading European automotive consultancy
AutoBusiness
Who Supplies Whom databases identify the suppliers
of components, modules and systems to Europe
and North America's major light vehicle models
and platforms.

Based
on the five major areas of the car, the databases
include:
- Interior
- Exterior
- Powertrain
- Chassis
- Electrical/Electronic
Over the last five years
we have been gathering suppliers' content on
major volume models launched in Europe. We now
have data on over 85% of light passenger vehicles
launched in Europe over the last year, and have
also just started covering North American models.
At present the database contains details on
over 35 models but this is being continually
updated with around 4 new models each month.
For each model we average 160 lines of data
from 60 suppliers.
The information in the
databases is gathered from our own monthly surveys
of around 300 European, 204 North American and
165 Asian suppliers.
As a subscriber, you
receive an email alert to inform you that the
latest release is available to download from
the AutoBusiness subscriber website, and which
new vehicles have been included. The
databases are delivered in MS Excel format for
you to take advantage of the programs
filter function and search facilities, and you
can also manipulate the information included
in the databases for your own in-house use.
You can search the databases
by:
- Model
- Platform
- Supplier
- Component
- OEM
- Brand
- Production date
- Plant
- Country where the
vehicle is assembled.
We
input the suppliers own definition of
their component into the databases, so you get
a unique level of detail from the suppliers
themselves, but also
provide and maintain a robust category system
in order to standardise the components listed
in the database.
In addition to the subscriber
database range available, we can make custom
sub-sets of data based on your specific requirements.
These are available on a non-updating basis,
ideal if you undertaking an urgent project and
need to know only about specific component segments.
Our databases are used
to form the cutaway features in Automotive News
Europe and SupplierBusiness.com.
Our customers include many of the major OEM
purchasing departments.
Each sectoral database
is priced at €1000. To subscribe to all
five databases costs €2,800 euros. Custom
sub-sets usually start around €500. Upon
our receipt of your order, access to any of
the databases, or delivery of your custom dataset
is usually established within one working day.
